Homebridge and Home Assistant
Connect compatible smart lights through Homebridge or Home Assistant alongside your DMX fixtures. The experimental Home Assistant companion on Pi / Ubuntu supports compatible Govee LAN and Matter lights. On/off, brightness, RGB and color-temperature controls depend on the device and integration. Validate your exact devices during the trial.
New: control your lights from anywhere
Your DMX Smart Link HUB is your lighting console, and now it goes wherever you go. With built-in cloud access, the DMX Smart Link app runs your whole setup from anywhere in the world over the internet: recall scenes, start light shows, and control your DMX fixtures and your smart lights, all from one place. Set the room from home before a service, or adjust it from the back of the venue. Homebridge and Home Assistant open from the app too, and Visual Control shows your lights live while you are away.
- Private by design: each phone has its own key, everything between the phone and the HUB is end-to-end encrypted, and the app connects straight to your HUB whenever the network allows.
- You decide who gets in: add phones as Admin or Operator with a one-time code or QR code from the HUB's Remote Access tab, and remove a phone at any time.
- Philips Hue live shows (beta): stream real-time effects to the lights in a Hue entertainment area.
Remote access comes with DMX Smart Link 2026.10.08.0435 and later with an active licence: update the HUB from its dashboard. The HUB needs an internet connection. Get the DMX Smart Link app for iPhone on the App Store; the Android app is in early access: contact us to join. Back up and test your rig before an event. Read the release notes.
Set the scene once, save it, and bring the whole rig back with one press. A scene saves the current state of your fixtures and smart lights without requiring a selection. Recall that lighting from a named button; your Visual Control stage layout stays in place. Nobody has to remember which channel does what on a Sunday morning, and nobody rebuilds the scene at the next load-in.
New (September 2026): Stream Deck and YoloDeck support.
Plug an Elgato Stream Deck or YoloLiv YoloDeck into the HUB and every saved scene becomes a key. Prefer the deck at the desk and the HUB in a rack? Plug the deck into your Mac or Windows PC, run the DMXSmartLink Stream Deck app, and it drives the HUB over the network.
Also new: supports local lighting workflows; cloud services and some integrations still need internet access, local Govee control through Home Assistant with response times that depend on the devices and network, Matter devices, a touch kiosk mode on a Pi with a screen, and OSC plus a control API for QLab, TouchOSC and Companion.
DMX fixtures and smart lights run from the same dashboard. That is why our own church stopped using LightKey — one dashboard now runs its DMX fixtures and its smart lights. Prefer the desk your team already knows? DMX Smart Link speaks Art-Net and sACN, so LightKey, QLC+ or Madrix can feed it directly. Interop is a feature here, not the whole product.
The software runs anywhere — the HUB is the version where the setup is already done. The same software installs on macOS, Windows 11, Ubuntu/Linux or a Raspberry Pi 5. This is a Pi 5 with it preinstalled, configured, and a 1-year licence included. Run it from any browser on the network, or the free iPhone app, so you can walk the room during soundcheck and fix a wash from your pocket.
16,475 fixture profiles from 1,697 manufacturers, covering 56,465 modes in release 2026.09.19.0031, ship on the card — and the library grows every release. Import your QLC+ fixtures, export to FreeStyler or Open Fixture Library, and move your licence to another machine when your hardware changes. Nothing here locks you in.

Best for network-based rigs: a full DMX console for your stage lights over Art-Net, plus Govee and other smart lights, over the network you already have. Choose this if your rig already has Art-Net nodes or a console, or you own a USB DMX interface.

After the first year: every HUB includes 12 months of software updates and support. Renewal is an annual license. Keep your licence active to continue licensed operation; see the current licence terms before renewal.
For your AV person
DMX out through the USB interface in the kit (ENTTEC DMX USB Pro, hardware-timed, or Open DMX); the HUB itself has no XLR ports. Art-Net input and output, plus sACN input, multiple universes. Scenes store the full DMX frame per universe. Scene recall from the web dashboard, the iPhone app, a Stream Deck, OSC and a control API. Put the HUB on Ethernet with a fixed IP; keep Govee lights on a solid 2.4 GHz network. Do I need an interface?
Wired DMX needs a supported USB-DMX interface or network node. The software licence and Network Edition do not include a USB-DMX interface; check each kit’s contents.
Can I use my existing console?
Compatible Art-Net and sACN input workflows let you connect your existing equipment. Validate patching and your required features during the trial.
What is in beta?
Named AI show setups and the Mac/Windows MIDI-over-IP connector are available in beta2326. Saved AI show setups do not yet appear as named Elgato buttons. Explore capabilities and beta details.
