Stream Deck and YoloDeck setup guide

Every scene on your hub becomes a key: Stream Deck and YoloDeck with DMX Smart Link

This guide gets an Elgato Stream Deck or YoloLiv YoloDeck recalling scenes on your DMX Smart Link HUB. Budget ten minutes. Most of that is the hub update.

Before you start

  • A DMX Smart Link HUB on version 2026.09.02 or newer. Management Dashboard → Updates → Check now → Install.
  • At least one scene saved on the hub. Every saved scene becomes a key, so if the deck shows nothing, that is the first thing to check.
  • An Elgato Stream Deck or a YoloLiv YoloDeck (Mirabox StreamDock 293 V3) and its USB cable.

Option A: deck plugged straight into the hub

  1. Plug the deck into a free USB port on the hub.
  2. Wait a few seconds. The keys light up with your scene names, in the order they appear on the hub.
  3. Press a key. The scene recalls on every fixture and smart light it contains.

Key brightness: in the hub's settings, STREAMDECK_BRIGHTNESS takes a value from 0 to 100.

That is the whole setup. Nothing else needs to be running.

Option B: deck plugged into a Mac or Windows PC

Use this when the hub lives in a rack or closet and the deck needs to sit at the desk.

  1. On the computer, open your hub's Management Dashboard in a browser and download the DMXSmartLink Stream Deck app for macOS or Windows. It is served from the hub itself, so it always matches your hub version.
  2. Quit the Elgato Stream Deck app if it is installed. It holds the device, and only one program can use the deck at a time.
  3. Plug the deck into the computer and open the DMXSmartLink Stream Deck app.
  4. Under 1 · Hub, the app lists every hub it finds on the network. With one hub it connects by itself. With more than one, pick it and press Connect. If nothing is found, type the hub's IP address in the box and press Connect.
  5. Under 2 · Stream Deck, confirm it says connected with the key count. Set key brightness with the slider.
  6. Under 3 · Scenes on the hub, click any scene to recall it from the computer, or press the matching key on the deck.

If something does not work

  • The app says no deck is connected (Mac or Windows). Quit the Elgato Stream Deck app, unplug the deck, plug it back in, then reopen our app.
  • The app cannot find the hub. The computer and the hub have to be on the same network. Type the hub's IP address (it is shown at the top of the Management Dashboard) and press Connect.
  • Keys are blank. Save at least one scene on the hub. Keys fill in as scenes are added.
  • A scene you renamed still shows the old name. Unplug and replug the deck, or restart the app.
  • Keys are too dim or too bright. Slider in the app, or STREAMDECK_BRIGHTNESS on the hub.
