Answer 1: The software acts as a DMX-to-Smart Light Bridge, allowing you to effortlessly control your Govee lights using your preferred DMX software through the Art-Net protocol. Additionally, you can connect physical DMX fixtures via USB-to-DMX devices (tested with Enttec DMX USB Pro) for direct XLR output, or control fixtures over your network via Art-Net. The software supports multiple DMX universes with configurable universe assignment, giving you complete command over your lighting effects whether you're using smart lights or traditional DMX fixtures.


Question 2: Can I control physical DMX fixtures with this software?
Answer 2: Yes! The software supports physical DMX fixtures in two ways: (1) Via USB-to-DMX devices (tested with Enttec DMX USB Pro) connected directly to your computer for XLR output, and (2) Via Art-Net over your network for fixtures connected to Art-Net nodes. You can configure which universe your USB device uses, and fixtures can be assigned to any universe. The web dashboard automatically detects and displays your connected USB-to-DMX device information.


Question 3: Is it compatible with voice-activated systems like Alexa?
Answer 3: Yes, the software features voice assistant integration for smart lights (like Govee devices), enabling you to control your smart lighting system hands-free using Alexa. You can easily dim lights, change colors, or trigger scenes by voice. Note: Voice control works with smart lights connected through Homebridge, but not with physical DMX fixtures controlled via USB or Art-Net

Question 4: What lighting effects are available?
Answer 4: The software includes a Visual Control Dashboard with effects available for all fixtures and groups. You can create stunning lighting effects using color wheels, brightness sliders, and color temperature controls directly from the web interface. Effects work with both smart lights (Govee) and physical DMX fixtures.

Question 5: How do I know if my USB-to-DMX device is detected?
Answer 5: The web dashboard automatically detects and displays information about your connected USB-to-DMX device, including the device name, port, assigned universe, current mode (input/output/both), and USB ID. You'll see a status indicator showing whether the device is connected, along with detailed device information in both the main dashboard and configuration pages.
